Ship 70 Pounds for $15.50 anywhere in the US
The least expensive way to ship heavy boxes is with the U.S. Post Office.
They Allow 70 pounds per box and you can ship them anywhere in the country for $15.50. They give you the boxes for free. Just ask for a tall, medium-size “Flat Rate Box” which ships for the $15.50 price.
Get an extra box and double them up for extra strength. Also, be sure to tape the box up well with clear plastic shipping tape. Wrap the tape around the box several times in THREE directions so it can’t break open.
To Ship Rayco
40 Rayco Super tooth cutters will ship in a tall, medium flat rate box. That box will weigh 65 pounds and will need to be properly packed so it gets to us in one piece.
You will need to pack the cutters 5 high. You can get 8 stacks in the box; it fills the box completely.
To ship less than 40 Rayco Super tooth cutters in a box, you still want to stack them evenly in the box and fill empty space with crumpled newspaper.
18 Rayco Monster Tooth cutters will ship in the tall medium flat rate box.
Stack them in the box and fill any empty space with crumpled newspaper.
To Ship Green, Vermeer, Sandvik, Carlton & Others
You can pretty much fill the tall medium flat rate box with any of these cutters and stay under the 70-pound limit. The most important part is to double up the box and be very liberal with the shipping tape.
If you are not sure if it is within the weight limit, they can weigh it for you at the post office.
